  • What programs does the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley offer?

    The range of Club programs, activities and services include educational support, mentoring, career counseling, computer training, fine arts, athletics, after-school childcare, and snacks.

  • What are the hours of operation?

    The Club is open Monday-Friday from 2:30 – 6:00 pm.

  • How much does an annual membership cost?

    $35 per year

  • Why is membership only $35 per year?

    Our membership fees are kept low to ensure all children have the opportunity to belong to the Boys & Girls Club. As a non-profit agency, we are fortunate to have several partners who support the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley so we can employ trained professionals and offer a wide array of programs.

  • How old do the kids have to be?

    Boys & Girls Clubs serve youth between the ages of 5-18. Some of our school-based programs serve kids in age ranges that are served by that specific school, such as high school-age kids and elementary-age kids. Please view Clubhouses to find a Club near you or call the Club to confirm the ages of its members at (805) 525-7910.

  • Do the younger and older Club members interact with each other?

    While supervised opportunities do exist for mentoring, role-modeling, and more, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley is fortunate to have program areas designated specifically for teen members.

  • Is the Club open during the summer?

    Yes. The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley is open for the summer Monday – Friday. The club sites’s operational hours are from 7:30 am-6:00 pm (Hours may vary per site). Please check with your local club site for dates that the club will be closed.

  • Where does the Club get its funding?

    The Club, an independent non-profit organization, relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations who donate money as well as time, expertise and knowledge. In addition, we are very fortunate to have the support of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors who invest $150,000 a year for the operation of our Piru Club. Without their generous support, we would not be able to serve the youth of Piru.

  • Are there any volunteer opportunities available?

    We have many volunteer positions to meet your schedule, interests and desired location. Please see Volunteer to review the types of positions available and complete the Volunteer Interest Form.

  • How can I sign-up my child? Is there a Boys & Girls Club near me?

    You will need to complete a membership application, which you can pick up at a club site or download online, and return it to the club your child will be attending. Membership is $35 per year.

  • Do Boys & Girls Clubs have summer programs?

    During the summer, many of our Clubs offer full-day summer camp programs for an additional fee. For more information about the summer programs offered and fees, please contact your local clubhouse.

  • How is a Boys & Girls Club different from other youth organizations?

    Boys & Girls Clubs are dedicated facilities that are specifically designed for young people up to the age of 18. As a result, young people find a unique sense of belonging at the Club. The Clubs are open every day after school and are supervised by trained youth development professionals and not just volunteers. The Clubs offer a wide variety of programs that build character, enhance education, cultivate creativity, encourage fitness and teamwork and teach important life skills. These programs give young people the opportunity to choose from a variety of activities. What’s more is that we are affordable for all youth at only $35 a year.

  • Do you accept donated items that have been used?

    We accept items that can be used by the clubs and are in good condition. To donate an item, please call (805) 525-7910.
